Thank you for joining our Global Phytoplankton Affiliate Program.

The following terms and conditions apply to individuals accessing or using the Program as a merchant (“we” or “merchant”) and an affiliate (“you” or “affiliate”) who refers customers to use products or services from the merchant.

By participating in the Program, the Affiliate agrees to use the Program in the manner specified in, and be bound by, these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety, you are not authorized to register as an Affiliate or participate in the Program in any manner.

1. Approval or Rejection of Registration

We reserve the right to approve or reject ANY Affiliate Program Registration at our sole and absolute discretion. You will have no legal recourse against us for the rejection of your Affiliate Program Registration.

2. Affiliate Links and Coupons

Affiliate links are automatically generated, but you can also generate an affiliate link for a specific product or collection. If a person clicks on someone else’s referral link and later clicks on yours, your link will take precedence.

Affiliates may or may not be assigned a coupon code, with details and usage clarified on the Dashboard. If a customer clicks on an affiliate link and also uses a coupon code, you will not receive double commission. If you are not assigned a branded coupon, you are not allowed to promote one.

Affiliates may advertise the merchant's website on online channels such as Facebook, Instagram, or offline platforms like classified ads, magazines, and newspapers.

3. Commissions and Payment

When you refer a customer who makes a purchase on our website, you will earn a commission calculated based on the commission structure. The commission amount is dependent on the order value and excludes extra fees (e.g., tax, shipping).

To receive a commission, you must specify your payment details in the Settings section. The payment schedule will be outlined on the Affiliate Guide page.

Payments will only be issued for successfully completed transactions. The use of the Affiliate Program is subject to a fair use policy, granting the merchant the right to review all referral orders. The status of commissions is displayed in the Commission tab, and paid commissions are listed in the Payment tab. Transactions resulting in chargebacks or refunds will not qualify for commissions.

Commissions will be paid out monthly, at the beginning of each month (within 5-7 business days). Commissions under $100 will not be paid out, but carried over to the following month. Commission payments over $500 will be paid via international wire transfer. Payments of $499 and under will be paid via check.      

4. Marketing Tools

We may share promotional media such as banners, logos, or specific collection promotions through the Marketing Tools tab. You can download the media or obtain HTML embed codes to share on affiliate channels.

5. Network

If the Network tab is activated, affiliates can invite others to join as downline affiliates. If a downline affiliate generates orders for the merchant, the upline affiliate will also earn a network commission, as per merchant settings.

To invite others to the system, share your network link. Affiliates who click the link and sign up will become your downline affiliates.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to track individuals who click on your affiliate link. The tracking will not work if cookies are disabled or cleared.

The cookie duration is stated on the Affiliate registration form. Tracking begins from the time a customer clicks on the affiliate’s link or uses the coupon. Within the cookie duration, any order made by that customer on the merchant website will automatically result in commissions for the affiliate.

7. Removal from the Affiliate Program

If an affiliate wishes to be removed from the program, they can do so by contacting: admin@globalphytoplankton.com.

Privacy Policy for the Global Phytoplankton Affiliate Program

This Privacy Policy describes how we may collect and use personal data and the rights granted to merchants, affiliates, and customers regarding their respective data within the Global Phytoplankton Affiliate Program.

By joining the Affiliate Program, you signify your approval of the terms set out in this Privacy Policy, as well as other terms and conditions. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you must not use the affiliate marketing system.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our privacy practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. By continuing to use the Affiliate Program after these changes are posted, you agree to the revised policy.

Personal Information Controller

Any personal information provided to or gathered by the Global Phytoplankton Affiliate Program under this Privacy Policy will be stored and controlled by Global Phytoplankton Alliance (the data controller).

Information Collected from Merchants

When a merchant uses the program, we may automatically access certain types of information from your Shopify account, such as:

• Email
• First and last name
• Shop information (e.g., shop domain, currency, address, etc.)

We collect this information to provide you with our services—for example, to confirm your identity, contact you, or provide customer support. This information also supports advertising and marketing activities.

Information Collected from Affiliates

When an affiliate signs up to join the program, we collect information to share with merchants, such as:

• Email
• Personal information
• Payment details
• Social network information

This information helps merchants evaluate affiliate backgrounds and potential, process specific activities within the program, and contact affiliates as needed.

Information Collected from Customers Visiting Merchant Websites

To track referral orders, when customers visit a merchant’s website and make a purchase, our system collects order-related information, including:

• Total order amount
• Order items
• Order ID

About Cookies

“Cookies” are data files placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier.

Cookies are created when a user's browser loads a website. The website sends information to the browser, which then creates a text file. Each time the user visits the website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website’s server.

Information Sharing

Ensuring your privacy is important to us. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may share your personal information with third-party service providers to process specific functions, such as email marketing, data analysis, and other marketing support. Third-party service providers have access to personal information only as needed to perform their functions and must process the information per this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose your personal information to any third party with your prior consent.

Use of the Affiliate Program by Children

The Global Phytoplankton Affiliate Program is not intended for children. If you are under 13, you may use the program only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Your Rights

We understand that you have rights over your personal information and take reasonable steps to allow you to access, correct, amend, delete, port, or limit the use of your personal information.

If you are using the program and wish to exercise these rights, please contact us at admin@globalphytoplankton.com. We may require acceptable verification of your identity before providing access to such information.

If you are an affiliate and wish to exercise these rights, please contact the merchant you interacted with directly. We serve as a processor on their behalf and will forward your request to them to respond.
